Shafia was born and raised in Vancouver, but moved to Edmonton 3 years ago. She pursued Social Work in 2015 after her aunt lost her life to an abusive partner. Shafia has been working at Nisa Homes since 2019, and was a Caseworker for a year. Now, she is the City Operations Manager. Shafia hopes she is making a difference for these families and is making a bigger impact in our community, so that we don't lose the ones we love to such tragedies.
