Women in Leadership

Date: November 19 & 20, 2022

Time: 10:30AM-4:30PM

Venue: Surrey Libraries - City Centre Branch

The Women in Leadership program is designed to support the professional development of women in leadership roles across a variety of professions. This two-day program equips women who are both new to leadership, as well as those currently in leadership roles with the ability to lead and influence teams, understand and lead change, as well as cross functional business approach to their current roles and teams.

 

This two- day program consists of the following focus areas:

 

  • Cross functional business approach

  • Motivate/influence teams (leading vs managing)

  • Organizational behaviour

  • Leading change

If you are unable to attend both days, a one day attendance is an option. However, if you attend the BOTH days, you will receive a Certificate of Completion for the program! Registration cost remains the same.

Facilitator

Fatima Rasheed

Fatima Rasheed currently serves as the Program Specialist with the World Trade Centre Vancouver. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the flagship Trade Accelerator Program in B.C, connecting businesses with top industry experts and equips them with the tools and resources to find success as they grow their business internationally. Alongside her role, she is currently an Executive Team member for Voices of Muslim Women, where she spearheads the organization's leadership programs. Before devoting her time to VMW, Fatima has served on the advisory committee for the GVBOT Leaders of Tomorrow Program and mentored with the Langara School of Management's Co-op Department.
